For Such a Time As This ...

We live in challenging times. What role is God calling you to play in creating a better world for all people? Join your St. Peter sisters for a weekend of rest, renewal, and rejuvenation while we explore how God calls us to respond to the injustices we see in this world.

Sunday School for Adults

St. Peter United Church of Christ is providing a link to take the Spiritual Gifts Discovery assessment.

The spiritual assessment will help you to know your gifts and understand how you can use them. After you take the assessment your results will be e-mailed to you and also sent to Pastor Steve Welker, who is the account administrator at the church.

Simply click on the below link and then, when prompted, enter your first name, last name and e-mail address. Once you confirm your e-mail address, a link to the online assessment will be sent to you.

Lady of the Lake

2017 Raffle Quilt: "Lady of the Lake"
Drawing is Sunday, November 5 at St. Peter UCC in Lake Zurich.

  • At the St. Peter United Church of Christ Piecemakers group, everyone is always welcome to come, learn and join with us in our mission to provide warmth and comfort to local families who are victims of domestic violence and who seek sheltering at A Safe Place.
  • Our sew-ins are typically on the first Saturday of the month, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. Occassionally, holidays or other events require us to meet on an alternate Saturday; when that occurs, details will be provided on this page.
  • This is a great opportunity to start with others at your own skill level and learn (or re-learn) at your own pace, while having fun and making a difference.
  • While sew-ins are held at St. Peter United Church of Christ, the membership is nondenominational and members come from various communities in both Lake County and Cook County. All are welcome!
  • If you are interested, or know someone that might be, please contact Stephanie Matz at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
